Mrs. Joann Mouzon Evans was born on February 19, 1948 in Florence County to Lottie and Edward Mouzon. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at MUSC of  Florence.

She was educated in the public schools of Florence County.

Joann was a member of Pathway Pentecostal Temple in Florence, SC.

Joann was united in holy matrimony to Willie Evans on April 7, 1964. They were blessed with six beautiful children. Joann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, being outside in her yard, long drives but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grands and great-grands. She enjoyed being around family and friends. Her smile and laugh would light up any room that she entered. She was a friend to many but most importantly she was a pillar of strength, kindness and beauty.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Lottie Mouzon, her loving husband Willie Evans, daughters Patricia Evans, Judy Mouzon, and Evelyn Gregg and brothers Robert James, Edward Mouzon and Dixie Mouzon.

 Left to cherish her precious memories are her children Gary (Linda) Evans of Lake Charles, LA, Corey Evans and Sandra Evans of Florence, SC; four grandchildren Kimberly Mouzon, Rondell Mouzon, Meagan (Everett) Singley, and Gary Evans Jr.; three great grands Channon Mouzon, Everett Singley and Eva Singley; two brothers Curtis Mouzon and Henry Mouzon; a host of loving relatives and friends.
