John Carl Davis who’s nickname was JC, was born June 3, 1945 to Gonzalo and Carrie Davis. He entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2024.

 He attended St. Luke Elementary School and Gibbs High School in Pamplico SC. While completing his studies he was employed as a school bus driver in his home-town. John along with family and friends started a gospel group The Seven Gospel Travelers. John’s favorite gospel song was “I Have Two Wings To Fly Away”. In his youth he was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church in Pamplico, SC. Later, he and his family moved to Winston-Salem, NC. During his stay in North Carolina, he went back to school and obtained a certificate to work in the manufacture as a career. He retired and he relocated to El Pasco, Texas. He started a new career with the Jaguar Dealership in El Pasco, TX fixing cars was his hobby from a young age, so he enjoyed his career. He later retired and decided to travel to see other places and to visit his family. While visiting  family in South Carolina, he enjoyed the weather and missed his home town, so he decided to stay and find him a retirement community residence. He enjoyed his stay here in South Carolina. Later, he became a member of  Good News Deliverance Temple Church under Bishop Talbert Burgess. He gave his life to Christ, and became an ordained trustee. As John settled into his retirement community he met a beautiful and amazing ,woman of  God named Frances. He fell in love with Ms. Frances and they were married on August 18, 2018. John and Frances embarked on a remarkable journey, that included traveling, visiting family and friends, going to church, and volunteering in their community. John was loved by everyone, who knew him and he kept a smile on his face and a testimony of how good God is. He loved God, his wife, music and fixing cars.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo and Carrie  Davis; brothers Grover Davis, Leroy Davis and sister Maple Davis Hathaway.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances Ann James-Davis; two loving sisters Willie Mae (Gaskins) Davis and Mary (Conner) Davis both of Florence SC; three godsons and a goddaughter that he loved dearly; great grand nieces and nephew Missy of  Winston- Salem, NC, Jasmine of El Paso, Texas, Chassidy and Kingston both of Columbia, SC; a host of loving family and friends.
