John Taylor was born April 11, 1956 in Timmonsville, SC to Carlisle and Hazel Taylor. He departed his life on July 8, 2024 at McLeod Hospice  Center after a short   illness.

John attended Florence School District One Schools.  He also had a brief enlistment in the U.S. Army.

Preceding Mr. Taylor in eternal rest are his parents, three brothers Leroy, Isaac and James Taylor and two sisters    Carolyn and Rose M. Taylor.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his daughter Anna Culbert; five grandchildren Shakur Culbert, Terrell Potts, Purnell Potts, Titeana Culbert and Adonis Culbert;  one great  grandchild, Skyla Culbert; two brothers Carlisle (Geraldine) Taylor and Maxie (Julia) Taylor; four sisters Frances Washington, Mary (Leo) Montgomery, Christine Mullins and Charlene Taylor; lifetime friend Jennifer Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
