Kathy Thurrisa Goodman was born on  September 8, 1954 in Florence County to Annie Lee and Junior Goodman. She departed this earthly life on November 11, 2023 and started her new journey.

She attended McCleneghan High School and was a proud graduate of the class of 1973. After school she was employed at Electric Motors. During this time she decided  to relocate to New Jersey. While living there she gained employment at  Maidenform which she worked for over ten years and then Levelor Blinds. After many years she returned to Florence, SC. There she found employment with Ivey’s Pawn Shop, Wallace Skins and Rental Uniform.

In addition to her parents Junior and Annie Lee Goodman she was preceded in death by brother Leon Goodman and granddaughter Asyeiah Heaven Wright.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories daughters Natasha (Rick) Wright of Lithonia, GA and Paris James of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Shon A. Brown, Jr., Sh-ven White, Knowledge J.R. Wright and Roland Wright III; sisters Margaret Goodman of Darlington, SC, Alfreda G. Frierson of Columbia, SC and Vicki I. Goodman of Timmonsville, SC; uncle Nathaniel (Mary) Goodman of Florence, SC and aunt Loretta James of Florence, SC; nephews Rodney (April) Goodman and Anthony Goodman both of Florence, SC, Bobbie (Lauren) Frierson and Christopher (Andia) Frierson both of Columbia, SC; nieces Felicia (Tyron) Goodman of Columbia, SC, Jasmine Goodman and Brittney Goodman of Timmonsville, SC; longtime friend Diane Jerido 0f New Jersey and close friends and neighbors “Mushy” McCants and Lemar; a host of treasured nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, relatives (blood or not) and friends. Kathy would definitely say don’t leave nobody out. Ride Dawgs Ride!!
