Bruce Cornell Gray, Jr. was born December 12, 2002 to Bruce C. Gray, Sr. and Carnetha McWhite Gray. He departed this earthly life on February 13, 2025.

Cornell as we affectionally called him or Jr. received his education in Lexington County Schools and was Home Schooled. He was a 2021 graduate.

He began working at the age of sixteen at Brooklyn Baptist Banquet Center. He later worked for Always Best Care of Columbia. Cornell always desired to enlist into the Marines.  He walked in the recruitment office weighing 320 lbs. They later stated, “They thought it was a joke.” He took the ASVAB test and started putting in much effort to lose weight, by walking around the track various time of day and drinking nothing but WATER, WATER, WATER! The weight melted off like a candle. Once the recruiting office saw that he was serious they started training with Gray. Long story short, he went to bootcamp on December 12, 2021 and graduated from Parris Island Marine Corps Base on March 11, 2022. He completed Infantry Training at Camp Geiger on June 2022, graduated MP School at Fort Leonard Wood and returned to Camp Lejeune to start his MP mission. He died doing what he loved.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents Bruce C. Gray, Sr. and Carnetha M. Gray; grandmothers Bettye Ann Mohammad, Cornetha McWhite, Rosella Harley;  uncles MP Darryl K. McWhite and Derrick L. Gray; aunt Diane T. Gray, Jackie M . (Jesse) Bailey, Hiram C. Gray, Tacoma Washington, Karen McWhite, Sonnie (Marcus) McWhite; god brothers Keon McWhite and Shane D. Doctor; god sister Kamonica McWhite; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
