LaQuetta Chanel Daniels, age 38, of Florence, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2025. Born on June 5, 1987, to Timothy and Tonja Daniels, LaQuetta was known for her deep passion for children and her unwavering love for education.
LaQuetta was a proud graduate of South Florence High School, Class of 2005. She continued her academic journey at Coker University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Her dedication to learning led her to pursue advanced studies, obtaining a master’s degree in Reading and Mathematics from Walden University. She furthered her expertise by earning a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
LaQuetta began her educational career at Palmetto Youth Academy. She then joined Pate Elementary School in 2013 as a first-grade teacher. Through her hard work and commitment, she was recognized as the District Teacher of the Year for the Darlington County School District and also served as the Coordinating Teacher for Pate Elementary. Most recently, she held multiple leadership roles including 4K Early Childhood Director, Carolina CAP Coordinator, and Assistant Principal for Pate Elementary.
LaQuetta was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Delores Paul, and Bessie Daniels, as well as four uncles: Antonio Cannon, John Calvin McWhite, John Paul Jr., and Paul Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Jalen Anthony Washington; her devoted parents, Timothy and Tonja Daniels; a host of loving aunts and uncles: Leroy (Renea) Cannon, her special aunt and godmother Timolin Paul, Evette Jones, Polly Sheppard, Betty Lee (James) McCallister, Joan Myers, Yevonne Coker, Frances (Thomas) Richardson, Sandra Pringle, James (Toni) Daniels, Henry (Sofi) Daniels, and Edward (Carreather) Daniels; one special great uncle, Henry (Vivan) Paul, and a cherished cousin, Valarie Paul, whom she loved like a sister; a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved deeply; she shared particularly close bonds with Melissa Morris, Tiffany Briggs, Jessica James, and Shanita Godfrey, as well as Jazna Foxe, Carmen Bennett, and her honorary godmother, Andrea Johnson.
