Mr. Lee Archie Belin was born on March 18, 1952, in Florence, South Carolina. He lived a life marked by service, love for family, and a genuine spirit that touched everyone who knew him. In the afternoon on Monday, February 9, 2026, he was called into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family.
Lee graduated from Hannah Pamplico High School in 1972 and faithfully served his country for twenty-four years in the United States Army as an Aircraft Mechanic. His dedication and strong work ethic earned him the rank of 1st Sergeant (E8). Throughout his service, he was highly decorated — a true reflection of the pride he took in both his career and his country.
Lee joined St Luke AME church at an early age, where he actively participated in the choir, as well as the usher board. During his visits home, Lee made it a point to worship and support St. Luke.
On January 6, 1983, he married the love of his life, Patricia Belin. They built a legacy together that was unshakable through every deployment, every relocation and every military change of orders. As they settled into retirement, they enjoyed the simplest things in life together with the most rewarding one of being grandparents! Together they built a beautiful family and shared many years of love and commitment. From his legacy came five children: Martel Pringle, Byron Belin, Monet Belin, Toraya Belin, and Lamont Ellison.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Ozell Sonny Belin, his mother Mrs. ArtieMishel Davis-Belin, his brothers Roy Belin, Reverend Sonny Belin, Gene Belin and his sisters Virginia Copeland, and Mayes Eaddy.
Lee found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, fixing cars, and taking peaceful drives down country roads. He enjoyed watching westerns, shooting pool with Toraya, and firing up the grill to barbecue with Byron. Those moments created memories that his family will treasure forever. He was a very genuine man who wore his heart on his sleeve. Trusting, laid back, and full of quiet strength, Lee had a presence that made people feel comfortable and welcomed. He loved deeply and lived honestly. Though he may be gone from this earthly life, the legacy of love, service, and authenticity he leaves behind will live on in his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lee leaves behind to cherish his fondest memories and legacy: his wife Patricia Belin, his sons Martel Pringle, Byron (Faye) Belin, Toraya Belin, Lamont Ellison and daughter Monet Belin all of Daleville, AL; his grandchildren Ma’Kiyah Galloway, Bri’ah Hicks, Jeffrey Buckhalter, Cortez Buckhalter, Kamaria Goldsmith, Joshua Cardona, and Kyon Reynolds all of Daleville, AL; siblings Geneva Ellison, Evangelist Annie Mae Armstead, Genet Smith, Evangelist Emma Belin, Christine Simon, Martha (Jerome) Curry, Evelyn Stuckey and Minister Bobby Belin; one sister-in-law Lorrine Porchea and one brother-in-law Kelvin Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
