Lizzie Hollomon Humbert affectionately known as “Liz” was born  September 4, 1934 to Matthew and Earline Green Hollomon in Darlington County, SC. She was called home and departed this earthly life on November 3, 2023.

Liz was the second of sixteen children. She was educated in the Darlington County public school system. She left for New York City early in life where she found her passion in private healthcare until   returning to Florence, SC in 2002.

Liz was known to everyone in her community for her generous and  loving heart. She enjoyed joking and having a great conversation.

Liz loved church and her church families. She was a devoted member of The House of God Keith Dominion under the leadership of Elder Eston Wells, later joining The House of God in Florence, SC under the leadership of the late Elder Elijah Green. She loved joyfully singing and praising.

Liz was married to Sammie Lee Humbert until his passing. She later met and shared a relationship with Paul Epps for over 30 years until his passing.

Liz had four children Noveria Epps-Gore, Leland Humbert, Ronald Blue and Lamont Humbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents Matthew and Earline Green Hollomon, husband Sammie Lee Humbert, son Leland Humbert, special friend Paul Epps, and siblings Ebraska, Otis J, Otis, Willie B, Leroy, Freddie, Gladys, Janie, Robert “Bud”, and Frances.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons Ronald Blue and Lamont Humbert; one daughter Noveria Epps-Gore; three sisters Ollie Gallishaw, Phyllis (Woodrow) Martin, and Mattie Thomas; two brothers Walter George and Sammie Lee; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, special family and friends.
