Lucille Woodberry Crouch Obituary

Lucille Crouch, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was  born on April 2, 1945, in Florence County, to the late McRoy and Venus Woodberry. She departed this earthly life, into eternal rest on February 22, 2026.

She was raised and attended public schools in Florence County.

Lucille built her foundation of life, centered on family, love, sacrifice and   service to others. Lucille was known for her warm heart and nurturing  spirit. She had a remarkable ability to love beyond limits and opened her arms to many, treating countless individuals as her own children whether she gave birth to them or not. Her home and heart was always open, and her presence brought comfort, strength, and guidance to those around her. Lucille loved fishing and gardening but her passion was in the kitchen. She was a phenomenal cook, her biscuits, pound cakes, and coconut pies were the best!

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ernest Woodberry and great-grandson Karysn who she now joins in eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two devoted daughters, Michelle (Erik)  Woodbury and Angela Crouch. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren, Letron (Ieshia) King, Chavitha (Jerode) Brown, Chavita King, Kenyetta Frieson, Zhyrus King, Olivia Frieson and Cordea Wilson;  twenty great-grandchildren, Jazariah, Khalil, Jarode Jr., Kassidy, Madison, Liam, Sincere, Cara, Jeremiah, Jasmyne, Dillon, Messiah, Austin, Nina, Cordea Jr., Khylar, Corbin, Khaleb, and Tristian all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy. In addition, Lucille is also survived by one brother, Harold (Gloria) Woodberry; two sisters, Lubertha Woodberry and Laura Woodberry; a special sister-in-law Queen Woodberry; special nieces and nephew Candace, Tiffany, Christy, Lanora and Chris; god daughters Wanda McCrea, Gloria Cokely and Sonya Woodberry; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends each touched by her love.

Lucille will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for family and friends. Her life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and the powerful impact of a woman who loved deeply and lived fully. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched and the generations she helped shape.
