Margie Ann Porter

Margie Ann Porter was born July 23, 1963 in Florence, South Carolina to Solomon and Annie Ruth Porter. She entered into eternal rest at her home on October 2, 2023 after an illness.

She received her formal education at Florence District One Schools and graduated from South Florence High School in 1982. She worked diligently at McLeod Regional Medical Center for several years as a Registration Representative until her health declined.

Margie had a heart of gold. She opened her home to anybody that needed it. She would give you her last. She enjoyed reading, watching sports (especially Tennis), buying watches and perfume and just making jokes. She could make you cry laughing with her jokes.

Margie was proceeded in death by her parents Solomon and Annie Ruth Porter.

Left to cherish her memories her sister Tammie Altice who was her care taker of the home; nieces Nekka Gainey and Autia Gainey; nephew Derrick Altice; four great nephews who she loved very much; Damon, Cordae, Jayden and King; two aunts Selena Goodson and Nathaleen (Edward) Ingram; two uncles Willie Lee Porter and Thomas Johnson; best friend Tommy Mitchell and close friend Pam Mills; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
