Marron Dean Shefton 64, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, following a tragic accident at Nan Ya Plastics in Lake City, SC. Born on June 30, 1960 in Williamsburg County, Marron was the child of the late Margaret Skinner Lewis Shefton and George Shefton and stepmother Minnie Lee Footman Shefton. 

 He was educated in the public school system of Florence County where he played football and basketball.

At an early age he worked construction in Myrtle Beach SC, Wastewater Purification Treatment in Wilkes-Barre, PA for fifteen years and currently was employed with Nan Ya Plastics in Lake City, SC for twenty-six years.

Marron was an active member of Jerusalem A.M.E Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior and served on various boards to include Usher, Male Choir, Junior Trustee, and Vice-President Sons of Allen. He loved sweets, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, fishing, bowling, sports (especially Minnesota Vikings) and  spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his eleven brothers Nathaniel Footman, Benjamin Franklin Shefton, Carl David Shefton, Howard Franklin Shefton, Lawrence Lewis, George Allen Shefton, James Shefton, Jimmy Lee Brown, William Shefton, Leonard Shefton and Billy Joe Shefton.

Marron leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of forty years Miranda Davis Shefton; one son Marvin (Melissa) Delance Davis; one grandson Marvin Delance Davis Jr.; one granddaughter Cierra Josephine Wesley; one bonus daughter Natasha (William)Davis; six sisters Sarah Eaddy, Pastor Gloria Cooper, Luladean Wright, Georgia Lee Shefton, Margaret Ann (Frank) Smith and Valerie Shefton; one goddaughter Kennedy Grace Fulton; mother-in-law Rosa Lee Williams; three brothers-in-law Timothy (Velma) Davis,  Michael Barr, Eric Barr, a good friend and bowling partner Simon Levy; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
