Ms. Melissa Yvonne Bostick, 55, a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, godmother,  and friend departed her earthly life on July 13, 2023.  Melissa was born May 9, 1968 to her parents, Mary L. Brown and Waymer L. Brown in Florence County. 

She was a graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High, class of 1987. After high school she worked for Tupperware USA in Hemingway, SC for a few years. After leaving Tupperware, she started working for McLeod Health of Florence, where she worked for 14 years and volunteered at Pee Dee Head Start for three years.

She was a member of Stepping Stone Holiness Church of Timmonsville, SC where she was a part of the Usher board for four years.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Waymer L. Brown, and son, Richard L. Bostick.

She is survived by her mother, Mary L. Brown of Pamplico, SC; her children: Shatavious D. Bostick  and Octavious D. (Michelle Weston) Bostick all of Florence, SC; two granddaughters Harmonee Bostick and Skylar Weston; two sisters, Katherine (Tee) Williams of Florence, SC, and Omekia (Jacques) Bragdon of Pamplico, SC; two brothers Matthew Brown of Hartsville, SC, and Kelvin Brown of Pamplico, SC;  a best friend, Carolyn Jackson of Darlington, SC; four nieces, two  nephews, two great nieces, four great nephews, six goddaughters, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
