Mr. Michael Stephen Peterson, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born in Florence County on June 11, 1966, the son of the late Maybel Peterson and Thomas Mccall.

Michael attended public school in Florence County and graduated class of 1984 from Wilson High School.

Michael loved his son, grandchildren, family and friends.

Along with his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his two brothers Morris L. Peterson, Sr. and  Allen Sylvester Peterson.

Those left who shared the joys of life with him and  to cherish his memory are his son, Miquelle (Krystal) Peterson; three grandchildren, Myesha Peterson, Harmony Bostick, and Layla Peterson; two sisters Joan Peterson and Trudy Taylor; aunts, Elease Williams and Evelyn Scott; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
