Monica Jeanene Cain, the daughter of the late Sylvester Cain Jr. and Cathelene McKever was born on Friday, March 2, 1979 in Florence County. Monica departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Monica graduated from West Florence High School and attended Florence Darlington Technical College. Monica eventually moved to Georgia and worked for the Internal Revenue Service until her health began to decline. She then decided to pursue her love for knowledge and took online classes to earn her Master of Arts Health Care Administration. Monica also earned a Master Degree of Arts in Christian Ministry. She was working on her Doctorate Degree in Divinity at the time of her passing. 

Monica leaves behind to cherish her memories: her mother Cathelene McKever of Effingham, SC; two brothers Craig Eric (Victoria) Timmons and Jarvis Teron Cain both of GA; devoted friend Nigel; aunts; uncles; six nieces; ten nephews; eight grand nieces and nephews; and several precious cousins and friends.
