Mother Juanita Trappier Davis Obituary
Juanita Trappier Davis who was affectionately called “Bae” was the daughter of the late Ruben Trappier, Sr. and Minnie “Nikki” Cain Trappier. She was reared by her Aunt and Uncle Erasmus and Bert Cain Eaddy since she was seven years old following her mother's death. She was born December 19, 1943 in Florence County, South Carolina. Juanita departed this life on Monday March 9, 2026 after an illness.
She was employed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services and served as a caseworker until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Chapel Baptist Church where she served on the Senior and Gospel choirs during her early years. She was also well known for her cake baking skills and was called upon frequently to provide the church with her delicious pound cakes. Juanita also had a green thumb and her yard and home was often filled with flowers and plants until her health failed.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Kenneth Davis; three sisters, Mary Ollie Trappier, Jonetha Trappier and Betty Trappier Bostick; four brothers, Rufus Trappier, Frank Trappier, Ruben Trappier and Leroy Trappier; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Trappier and Bertha Trappier; three brothers-in-law, Furman Bostick, Philmore Echols and Carl Mack Sr.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memories three children, Debra Davis of Austell, GA, Karen Davis of Florence, SC, James (Rochele) Davis of Somerset, NJ; two grand-daughters Natasha Davis of Austell, GA and Jayla Davis of Somerset, NJ; two great-grandchildren, Camron D. George and Ryan Noelle Oakman both of Atlanta, GA; three great great-grandchildren, Jayci Sallee of Rolling Fork, MS, Amina George and Marz Oakman-Maddox both of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Gracie Echols of Florence, SC, Lucinda Mack of Louisville, KY, and Sylvia (Toby) Timmons of Pamplico, SC; brothers-in-law Aaron (Claudia) Davis and Terry Singleton both of Florence, SC and Gene Davis of Toledo, OH; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tarpin of Louisville, KY, Doris Fullard, Viola Davis, Jonnie Mae Anderson and Rosa Wright all of Florence, SC; a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers and friends.
