Louise Patrica Rich, affectionately known as "Granny," was born on January 29, 1936, in Williamsburg County, SC, to the late Sam and Rosa McClary. She peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her residence.
Louise was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. She was also a graduate of Roper Hospital Training School for Nursing.
At an early age, Louise accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of Siloam Baptist Church where she was one of the Mothers of the Church.
Louise loved her family and was an awesome cook. She dedicated many years of service working at Williamsburg Regional Hospital until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Rosa McClary, sisters Bessie Cooper, Earline Cooper and Ella Dozier, and brother Joe Cooper.
Louise’s memory will be forever cherished by her devoted daughter Elaine Rich of the home; a loving son Johnny (Curneker) Rich Jr. of Kingstree, SC; two adoring grandchildren Makeshia (Lafayette) Bradford of Florence, SC and Jasmine Rich of Atlanta, GA; one loving sister Mary James of Bronx, NY; two loving brothers William McClary of Rochester, NY, and Johnny Cooper of Bronx NY, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
