Mrs. Vandrow Ham, aged 80, of Florence, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on July 20, 2025. Born in Florence County on December 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Sank and Maggie (Jones) Adams.
Mrs. Ham grew up in the Savannah Grove community and attended public schools in Timmonsville and Florence.
In her youth, she was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC. As a young adult, she relocated to Newark, NJ, and later to Baltimore, MD, where she married her late husband, Mr. Theodore Ham. Following eight years of marriage, she returned to Florence, SC, and became a member of Center Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC.
Mrs. Ham devoted thirty years of service to Florence School District One before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Ham; her son, Jimmy (Ron) Ham; and her brothers, Theodore and Charles Adams.
She is survived by her children, Craig Addison, Finta Ham, Sandra (Penny) Reid, and Timothy (Tim) Ham; ten grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Ham Green; her aunt, Bertha Mae McDaniel; as well as other extended family and friends.
Mrs. Vandrow Ham will be fondly remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
