Obie Edward Martin, son of the late Cephus and Loner Martin was born on October 2, 1960 in Darlington County. He entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2024.
Obie attended Lamar High School graduating with the class of 1979.
Obie was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and later Cherry Grove.
He was employed with Willis Construction as a Foreman Supervisor for over twenty-four years and Darlington County Road and Bridges until his health declined.
Obie was the grandson of the late Wilson and Janice Martin and Warren Dingle. Those who preceded him to eternity was his wife Lakisha Graham-Martin, daughter Cellica Martin, sister Margie Taylor and brother Quincy Martin.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughter Nyasia Martin, son Obie (Davion)Martin and stepson DaQuan Smalls all of Darlington, SC; four grandchildren; siblings Janie (David) Cannon, Woodrow (Phyllis) Martin, Hudley Martin and Creola Martin all of Timmonsville, SC and Janice (Derrick) Jefferson of Florence, SC; a niece raised as a sister Moneak Martin of Timmonsville, SC ; a host of other relatives and friends.
