Olivia Jackson Obituary

Olivia “Wonkey” Jackson departed this life Thursday, May 1, 2025 in MUSC after an extended illness. 


She was born November 25, 1934 in Bishopville, South   Carolina, the daughter of the late Adge Holloman and Pearline Gardner.


She was educated in the public schools of Florence.


She worked at Florence Convalescence Center for many years as a nurse technician and a Head Cook at Oakland Market for thirty-five years.


She was a member of Saint Peters Holiness Church.


Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel Jackson, three sisters and one brother. 


Olivia leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters Ernestine Blackwell of Chesterfield, SC, Della Mae Jackson, Bernetha Jackson and Patricia Jackson all of Florence, SC; fifteen grandchildren; great-grandchildren; goddaughter Loraine Graves of Florence, SC; two brothers-in-law Mingo Jackson of Wilmington, NC and Willie Hines, Jr. of Florence, SC; one sister-in-law Lillian Jackson of Florence, SC; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
