On Monday, April 24, 2023, Orell Graham affectionately called “Bo-Dilly,” a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend slipped away peacefully into eternal rest at the age of 68 at MUSC in Florence, SC. Orell Graham was born on August 9, 1954 to the late Rev. L.C. “Pete” Graham and Burlena Graham.
At an early age, Orell became a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. He recognized and believed that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior and grew a deeper relationship with God as he endured multiple illnesses. He exhibited the utmost strength throughout his declining health, never complaining or losing sight of his faith. He was a gentle and humble spirit that brought an abundance of love, joy, and laughter to his daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.
Orell received his formal education from Olanta Elementary School and later graduated from Olanta High School. He was a dedicated farm worker and later became employed with Olanta Elementary School. Orell then began a successful career at Walmart in Lake City, SC, where he dedicated 25 years of employment.
Orell was preceded in death by his loving sister, Delores Cockfield, nephew Jaroname Cockfield, brothers-in-law Steve McKenzie, Tommy Simpson, and Ennis McFadden Sr. and his precious granddaughter, Tamira Brown.
Those left behind to cherish his precious memories are: his two daughters, Mrs. Tunisha (Terry) Brown and Mrs. Shericia (Jeremy) Gamble, both of Florence, SC; two brothers, Mr. L.C. Graham of Lake City, SC and Mr. Howard (Drew) Graham of Olanta, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Simpson of Yemassee, SC, Mrs. Rudell McKenzie of Olanta, SC and Mrs. Debra McFadden of Florence, SC; brother-in-law, Mr. Carel Cockfield of Olanta, SC; eight grandchildren: Kadacsha, Jevon, Keon, Tyler, Xander, Hunter, Jeremy, Tierra; four great-grandchildren E’monti, Londyn, Noah, India; goddaughter Terica Graham; close friend Oscar Gamble; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives, and friends.
