Ms. Orletha Hunter, a beloved mother, sister and a friend departed this earthly life on January 12, 2025, at Marion Home Care in Marion, South Carolina. Born on October 14, 1965 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the cherished daughter of the late Mrs. Orlette Hunter.

She was a graduate of Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Orletha is survived by her daughter Ms. Joy Hunter of Florence, South Carolina; two brothers Mr. Allen Hunter of Delray Beach, Florida and Mr. Matthew (Kim) Hunter of Columbus, Ohio; two nephews Mr. Jamaryus A. Hunter of McDonough, Georgia and Mr. Matthew Hunter, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, four nieces Ms. Jasmine Hunter of McDonough, Georgia, Ms. Kimora Hunter, Miss Kalynne Boyd and Miss Adrienne Boyd all of Columbus, Ohio; two aunts Mrs. Comellia Myers of Delray Beach, Florida and Mrs. Jacqueline Hunter of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two uncles Mr. Ervin Hunter and Mr. Marion Dennis Williams both of Effingham, South Carolina; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
