Oshunda Quillin Obituary

Oshunda Quillin was born on January 27, 1981, and peacefully entered eternal rest on July 11, 2025. She was the daughter of Maxine Mcwhite and Johny Mcwhite, and she grew up in Florence County.

She attended schools in the Florence District One.

Oshunda embarked on her career in the childcare field around 2005, beginning her journey at Monday Morning Day Care. She dedicated approximately three years to this role, where she developed a deep affection for the children in her care, who, in turn, adored her. With a wealth of stories about her daycare babies, Oshunda always had a new favorite, yet her love for all of them was unwavering. Over the years, she formed family-like bonds with many kids and their parents, embodying a loving spirit. Though she didn't have children of her own, Oshunda was blessed to have many young ones touch her life. Especially Little Miss. Danyelle!

In 2004, Oshunda met her soulmate, Jerryco Quillin. They married later that same year, after dating for just seven months, during which Jerryco proposed to her at their workplace, Monday Morning Day Care. Since their meeting, they have remained inseparable. For twenty-one beautiful years they shared a deep love. And they were known for lighting up any dance floor together, always drawing attention to their joyful connection. They embraced life’s ups and downs, sharing countless moments filled with laughter and love.

Oshunda is survived by her husband, Jerryco Quillin; father John Lee (Doris) Mcwhite; siblings Evonne Johnson, Akiem Johnson,  and Rebecca (Kevin T.) Campbell; stepfather Jeffery (Janet)    Benjamin; goddaughter Danyelle; father-in-law Abrayzell Quillin; brother-in-law Alwayne (Kimberly) Quillin; beloved aunts Diane Smith, Carrie Johnson, Gwendolyn Ballard, Judy Bandy, and Helen Isaiah; she is remembered fondly by her special cousins Leshawn Smith, Picasso Smith, Meco Johnson, and Eric Johnson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She will truly be missed but never forgotten. We love you Oshunda!
