Patrick Leon Mckenzie, known as “Pat,” was born on October 29, 1971, in Darlington, South Carolina to Patricia McKenzie. He departed this earthly life on December 1, 2025.

Raised by Barbara Jean Austin Player and Levan Player, Pat was recognized for his strong work ethic and generosity. He committed his life to faith at an early age.

He later moved to Florence, where he graduated from Wilson High School.

He was predeceased by both of his mothers, Barbara Jean Austin Player and Patrica Mckenzie and aunt Patricia Austin.

Pat is survived by six siblings, Jennis Austin, Leavan Austin, and Robert, Nicole Austin, Princess Austin, and Susie Gainy; five nieces, Racheal Austin, Rachelle Austin, Michelle B.J. Austin, Shaqonya Gainy, Shakyla Gainy; two nephews Javontae Austin, Tavion Austin; two great nieces, Grace Austin, Heavenly Austin; great nephew Baby Kash; three aunts Gloria Austin, Diane Austin Hicks, Norma Jean Austin Brown; uncle Johnnie Austin; his favorite cousins Kevin, Big.B.Boss, Big Q, Quince, Cedric, and MTG; his longtime friend Stacey L. Skinner; a host of other relatives and friends.
