Reginald R. Stuckey Obituary

Reginald Roscoe Stuckey, a man whose life was defined by dedication, integrity, and a steadfast  belief in the goodness of humanity was born on April 2, 1960, in Florence County, South Carolina, son of Roscoe and Georgia Stuckey. His life’s journey ended on August 18, 2024, at the age of sixty-four, yet his impact endures in the lives of those who knew him.


Reginald was a person of action and principle. A graduate of Hannah Pamplico High School in 1978, he continued his education at Claflin University, earning his degree in 1982. He served his country with honor in the US Navy until 1988, embodying the values of discipline and commitment. His professional life was marked by hard work and perseverance. Reginald contributed his skills at Cummins, Inc. in Charleston, SC, and International Paper in Georgetown, SC, where his energies left a lasting impression.


Reginald's life was centered around his family. He shared a strong connection with his wife, Sonya Stuckey. After they married he joined and became a member of Savannah Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Coward, SC.


He was preceded in death by his father, and brother Fredrick “Ibo” Stuckey with whom he now rests.


His loving memory will be cherished by those left behind, wife Sonya Stuckey; his loving children Reggie Stuckey, Sean Stuckey, and Aisha (Michael) Felder; he also extended his care to his step-children Darius Anderson and Kadeshia Anderson; grandchildren AJ Stuckey, Trinity McCrimmon, Trenton McCrimmon, Noah Anderson and Hunter Anderson were a source of pride and joy for him; a caring mother Georgia Lee Stuckey; siblings Sharon Stuckey, Maurice (Joyce) Stuckey, and Joycetine (Kenny) Barnes, who will miss his presence deeply. Reginald also leaves behind a large extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends who will remember him for his dedication to family and his belief in the potential of every person. Though his journey on this earth has ended, Reginald Roscoe Stuckey's influence remains, a testament to a life lived with purpose and a belief in the value of every human being.
