Bro. Richard Allen Deas Sr., son of the late Henry Deas Sr. and Albertha Deas was born, July 13,1955 in Georgetown County. He departed this life on July 13, 2023.

Bro. Richard was baptized at an early age. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal  Savior. He attended Johnsonville School System. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. He was employed by Wellman for 23 years.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two daughters, Delores Deas of Hemingway, SC and  Kimberly Brown of Johnsonville, SC; two sons, Richard Deas Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, and Bryan Deas of Johnsonville, SC; seven brothers, James (Georgia) Deas and Robert Deas of Durham, NC, Joseph (Asha) Deas of North Hollywood, CA,   Roland Deas, Amos Deas, Darryl Deas, and   Henry Deas, Jr. all of Johnsonville, SC; three sisters: Zelma Jones and Mary Fulton of Johnsonville, SC, and Victoria (Michael) Davis of Florence, SC, and a special niece, Virginia Deas of Johnsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Kierra Wilson, Michael Deas, Bryan Deas Jr., Elizabeth Deas, and Ja’mir Brown; a special friend, Bet Brown, and a bonus daughter, Betty Ann Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his beloved fur babies; and siblings that proceeded him in death: Sarah Eaddy, Bertha Mae Dorsey, and Ruby Burgess.
