Mr. Robert Lee King, son of Mr. Major King, Sr. and Mrs. Lillie Bell Echols King was born on August 24, 1950 in Florence, SC. Robert quietly left this world of heartache and pain on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at McLeod Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving children.

Robert received his formal education in Florence District One Schools.

Robert was a carpet and tile installer for many years until his health declined. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Major King and Lillie Bell Echols King, grandparents Mr. Philmore and Mrs. Amelia Echols, grandson Jason Farmer, two sisters Betty A. King Rust and Yvonne Davis, three brothers Major King, Jr., David King, Ernest King, Jr. and David Law.

Robert leaves to cherish fond memories son Carlos Farmer; two daughters Tajuana Farmer and Stephanie Nowlin; grandchildren Zyquarris, Carlos Jr., Aaron, Clevonte, Dexter Jr., J-viaion, Caralasia, Sha-mya, LaRiah and Jalen; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers James (Lottie) King, Phillip (Ericka) King, Jerry King, Larry (Tiffany) King and Samuel King; sister Reverend Michelle Law Gordon; a special friend of twenty-nine years Sarah Ann Felder; aunts Jessie M. Harley, Laura Thompson, Hester Echols, Romell Flemings, Emma (Sammie, Sr.) Kelly, Amelia (Curtis) Cato, Maggie Marks and Gracie Echols; uncles Robert Echols and Monroe (Margaret) Echols; one god-brother Billy (Janice) Thompson; god-children Elijah King, Aubrey Allen, Rashad Washington and Kyndall Washington; best friend David “Bubba” King, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
