Sharon Flowers Obituary

Ms. Sharon Flowers, daughter of the late John and Anne Flowers was born February 22, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA.


She attended the public schools of New York City. At an early age she joined Blanch Memorial Baptist Church.


She was blessed with one child, True Monique Flowers who preceded her in death on December 31, 2024.


Ms. Sharon proudly worked as a legal secretary for several years in New York City before relocating to Wilmington, North Carolina. There, she continued her career as a legal secretary and worked at Belk Department Store, where she eventually retired. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Monday, April 7, 2025, at her residence.


Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family, sisters Dorothy (Ebony) Stafford, of Florence, South Carolina, and Evette Flowers of Bronx, New York; brothers Ira Flowers of Queens, New York and Irving Flowers of Atlanta, GA; seven nieces Adrienne, Justice, Tiesha, Irvonna,  Shaquanna, Tawanna and Shamaya; eight nephews Sudan, Shamel, Cory, Ramel, Ramel Jr., Romel, Day-Day and Naquan; close friends Vicki, Janette, Denise, and Banita, a host of devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.
