Shondell Renee McCullum was born on July 24, 1974 in Florence, SC to Dellean McCullum Brown and Richard Washington. She departed this world on April 30, 2025 in Florence, SC.

Shondell had a special gift for making people feel loved and cared for. She found joy in the simple things in life — whether it was spending time with her family, watching her favorite short drama stories, Kung fu movies, or laughing with her grandchildren, whom she adored more than anything. Shondell was a loving, kind, and gentle soul whose warmth touched everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Washington, cousin Demetrius Parks, and David and Jannie Neely. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her two beloved daughters Chiquita (Kellon Eaddy) Brown and Brandy Brown; three cherished grandchildren Ahmod Smith, Ahmir Eaddy, and Sai’Riah Burgess; her devoted mother Dellean McCullum Brown; caring brothers Ronald McCullum and Tyshawn Washington; sisters Wanda, Tameika, and Melissa McCullum; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were the light of her life; she also leaves behind a special friend Anthony Brunson whose companionship brought her comfort and happiness in her later years. Shondell’s presence in their lives was a constant source of love, wisdom, and joy.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We will remember her beautiful smile, her kind heart, and the gentle strength she carried through life. Rest peacefully, Shondell. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
