Willie Paige was born on December 25, 1960, to the late Ander and Minnie Paige. He departed this life on July 14, 2025, at the age of 64.

Willie graduated from Wilson High School in 1979. Willie proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984. After his honorable service, he pursued his passion for craftmanship by establishing his own business, Paige Drywall, which he successfully operated over 20 years before retiring.

A hardworking man with a quiet strength, Willie found joy in life’s simple pleasures maintaining his beautiful yard, cheering on his favorite team, the Carolina Panthers, playing chess, and most of all, spending time with those he loved. Nothing brought him greater happiness than his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He held deep, unwavering pride in both his daughter and son, who were his greatest joy.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Ander and Minnie Paige; two sisters, Lois Daniels and Carolyn Pugh; and his brother, David Paige.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter Lykendria McCoy, of the home; his devoted son Kendrick (Dina) Paige, of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren Khamiah Keith, Nariya Keith and Christian McCoy, all of Charlotte, North Carolina, Alanah Paige of Rockford, Illinois; his great-grandson Ki’lan Steele of Charlotte, North Carolina; Willie’s surviving siblings include Larry (Mary) Paige, Dora (Alphonso) Arthur, Bernice Davis, Freddie Paige and Andrew Paige all of Florence, South Carolina and Mildred Williams of Roselle, New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; also left to remember Willie with love is lifelong friend and former wife Joann Keith and her husband, Sherman Keith of Charlotte, North Carolina. Though separated by marriage, the bond of friendship and mutual respect between Willie and Joann remained strong throughout the years.

Willie’s love, laughter and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
